Mobile CCTV offers a practical solution for creating a remote monitoring system by leveraging existing smartphones. Users can designate one older smartphone as a fixed camera in their home while keeping another smartphone handheld for on-the-go access. This setup allows for consistent monitoring of one’s residence, enabling remote viewing and instant capture of images from virtually anywhere in the world.

The application capitalizes on the potential of underutilized devices, transforming an old phone into a surveillance camera and allowing seamless connection to a primary phone. After installing Mobile CCTV on both devices, users can initiate a direct network connection by configuring the first phone as the camera and the second phone as the receiver. Upon invoking the app, users receive live streaming footage or still images instantaneously when requested. This functionality offers peace of mind for those concerned about home security or monitoring unattended children.

For optimal operation, ensuring both phones maintain a stable power supply and data connection—either through mobile data or WiFi—is crucial. The app is versatile and responsive to various network conditions; however, users should anticipate potential delays in live streaming during slow internet times but can still capture photos effectively.

Setup Instructions:

1. Acquire two smartphones: one to remain at home (camera phone) and one to carry with you (receiver phone).
2. Download and install Mobile CCTV on both devices.
3. Launch the app on both phones and follow the setup steps.
4. On the camera phone, select the Camera option in Step 1 and register it with a passcode.
5. On the receiver phone, select the Receiver option in Step 1 and enter the same passcode to connect.
6. Position the camera phone in a well-lit area, preferably plugged into a power outlet for extended use.

Once setup is completed, users can easily access live video streams or images through their receiver phone whenever needed, provided both devices have active internet connections.
